Billing and Insurance

Patient financial services

The mission of the Patient Financial Services Department at Biloxi Regional Medical Center is a necessary service so that our patients can meet their financial responsibilities. These services include:

Admitting
Our admitting staff is trained to complete the necessary paperwork in a timely, efficient manner.

Insurance verification
The admissions clerk will usually have your insurance benefits verified before you leave to enable you to know your financial obligations associated with the care and services provided at Biloxi Regional Medical Center.

Financial counseling
If you cannot pay the deductible required, you will be asked to speak with our financial counselor.  Our counselors are trained to assist you with meeting your financial obligations.  We accept all major credit cards.

Billing
We file your insurance claims for you.  However, we remind you that your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company.  We have many agreements with insurance companies where we have agreed to accept a certain amount for providing services to you.  However, almost no insurance company pays 100% of that amount.  Your insurance company will require a deductible and a percentage of the reminder, known as co-pay.

Eligibility services
We provide an eligibility service to assist you in the event you do not have private insurance.  By providing the necessary information and completing certain requirements, this service will screen your income and assets to help qualify you for Medicaid, Social Security Income Disability or Victims of Violent Crime.
